Happy New Year + What Is New for 2021 + Disc Shortage?

Happy New Year
– Gummy C-Blend Emperor –

We hope that you are excited for 2021 and we all hope that disc golf continues to grow and improve the lives of those who take up the sport.

We’re kicking off the year with the Emperor distance driver in Gummy C-Blend plastic! This is a more flexible, grippy version of C-Blend plastic, perfect or cold weather play. We wanted to try out this plastic blend and see how folks like it. So far, we’ve loved testing it out and feel like it would be a nice addition to the regular production runs. If you want to try out Gummy C-Blend, get it here on Friday, January 8th when it is release:

Introducing, the Infinite Flick Flyer Mini
These fun little mini discs are made out of silicone rubber and are shaped to fit in your fingers for long-distance flicking. You can use them to mark your lie during your disc golf round, or to kill a little time before the round while playing catch with your friends– zipping this little flyer across the park. The soft silicone and tiny size also makes them easy to catch in the palm of your hand.

– The Current Inventory Shortage –

While Infinite Discs has always strived to have a large selection of discs in stock by all brands, you may have noticed a fairly intense shortage of discs at the moment. We’ve heard from a few of our customers that they are having difficulty finding the discs that they want. We understand your frustration with the lack of selection and we wish we had more to offer.

The reality is that the largest manufacturers in the business have not been able to keep up with the increased demand as the disc golf market has grown. They’re still trying to adjust and make the discs necessary to meet the high demand. If you don’t see a Buzzz, a Destroyer, a Luna, a P2, a River, or any number of your favorite discs in stock, it is not because we have chosen not to stock them…it’s because we can’t get them until the manufacturers make more. We have also been given purchase limits by some manufacturers. They understand that there are so many stores that need inventory that they must limit what we can purchase in order to spread the available discs around.

We ask for your patience as we wait for disc manufacturers to catch up. We have taken steps to obtain more excellent disc choices from around the world in order to meet your disc needs. We are constantly seeking to increase our inventory.  Our goal is to have 50,000 – 100,000 discs in stock at all times. At this exact moment, we have just over 33,000 discs. We hope by the time spring rolls around that we can be back to our goal. Thanks for understanding!
