Infinite Discs Supports Many Top Finishers At USDGC

Jeremy Koling Finishes 2nd at USDGC

The 2019 USDGC was recently held at the traditional and iconic Winthrop Gold course. There was a lot of good disc golf, many changes to the course, and a few surprise performances. And what a finish! Unlike so many tournaments this year, there was no clear winner until the last putt dropped. Among the 100+ participants at Rock Hill, South Carolina, Infinite Discs was well represented.

In addition to having an Infinite Team member present at the tournament, several pros supported by Infinite Discs through signature discs made impressive showings. Garret Gurthie, with his Signature Slab and Signature Emperor and Infinite Team member Dave Feldberg with his Signature Swirly Emperor finished tied for 19th place, pocketing a cool $1000 each for their efforts. Just ahead of the pair was Joel Freeman, whose hot shooting landed him in the top 10. He took 10th place, tying former USDGC champion Nate Sexton and two others. Joel walked away with $1425. Joel has a Signature X-Blend Scarab. And finally, finishing one stroke out of first place, was Jeremy “Big Jerm” Kohling.

Jeremy, with his beefy Concrete Slab, started the final round on the third card. He then shot the second best round of the day to get within reach of the championship. Sitting in the clubhouse with was to be a scorching 1061-rated 61, he could only wait and watch as the leader James Conrad finished his round.

James was on the lead card and had a healthy lead over Jeremy with a couple holes left. But, hole 17 took it’s toll on the leader. James missed the island hole twice and had to settle on a quadruple bogey 7. That meant James had to get par or better on hole 18 to secure the win. He played the hole conservatively and even though he left himself with a 15-foot death putt, hit dead center for the win. Jeremy tied for second place and received $7,000.

Congratulations to all of the pros supported by Infinite!
