Infinite Discs Limitless Challenge
The Infinite Discs Limitless Challenge is designed to introduce Infinite Discs line of disc golf discs and to serve as a fun event for existing Infinite fans. The event can be a standalone event that can quickly be run on a weeknight after work, or as a preview event for an upcoming tournament. In 2020, the Limitless Challenge is administered exclusively by our staff on the Infinite Discs Tour.
How It Works
For only $25, a player gets their choice of two Infinite Discs I-Blend, D-Blend, P-Blend, or X-Blend plastic discs, and a towel. For the payout, we also provide $15 in gift cards per each entrant for payouts at either our on-site mobile store or online. The $15 payout per player plus players pack pays out $44 in merchandise per player. The $15 payout gift cards will be paid out differently according to the type of format chosen.
Players will have the option to upgrade to other premium plastics, if desired, for the difference in plastic pricing.
Playing Formats
True Limitless Challenge
Players must use the provided Infinite Discs in their players pack during the round. Players can opt to purchase additional Infinite Discs before their round. However many Infinite Discs molds they purchase can be played during the round.
One round of play, can be shotgun start or flex start.
5 Divisions – Advanced, Intermediate, Beginner, Women, and Junior
Each division will pay out 50% of the field (The $15 per player will be paid on a scale similar to PDGA recommended payouts)
Limitless Challenge Tournament Preview
Players will recieve two Infinite Discs and a towel in their players pack, but are not limited to using only those discs during play. This way players can preview tournament courses without limiting their shot choices.
One round of play, can be shotgun start or flex star
Up to 6 Divisions – Open, Advanced, Intermediate, Beginner, Women, and Junior
Open will be paid out cash to 35% of the field (100% payout). All amateur divisions will pay out 50% of the field (The $15 per player will be paid on a scale similar to PDGA recommended payouts)
Limitless Challenge Skins (additional $3)
(Additional $3 to cover 18 holes) – Players must use the provided Infinite Discs in their players pack during the round. Players can opto to purchase additional Infinite Discs before their round. However many Infinite Discs molds they purchase can be played during the round.
Players will play the course in groups of 4-5 players and compete against their own group in an 18 hole skins match.
Each hole or skin is worth one dollar in Infinite gift cards. Each player will win how ever many skins they earned in Infinite Discs gift cards.
Not familiar with skins? Each player plays each hole as normal. Each players buys in to each hole with a skin (in this case, it is one dollar in Infinite credit). If one player scores lower than everyone else in that group, that player wins all the skins accumulated up to that point. If no one player wins the hole outright, all the skins carry to the next hole, and all players buy in again, adding to the pot already accumulated.
What happens if the last hole carries? Many people decide this differently. For the Limitless Challenge, all skins accumulated up to the last hole will be divided equally between all the lowest scores on that hole.
Players Pack
Players will recieve two Infinite Discs of their choice in either I-Blend, D-Blend, P-Blend, or X-Blend plastic, plus a Infinite Discs towel!
